Frequently Asked Questions

How do you compare visa types and destinations?+
Our comparisons are based on publicly available government fee schedules, official processing time data, and editorial research. We test applications and review user feedback to provide balanced, accurate comparisons.
Which is better: eVisa or visa on arrival?+
eVisas are generally better — you apply before travel, have confirmed status before boarding, and avoid queues on arrival. Visa on arrival is useful when eVisas aren't available or for very last-minute trips.
Can I use the same eVisa to visit multiple countries?+
Generally no — each country requires its own visa or travel authorisation. The main exceptions are the East Africa Tourist Visa (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda) and the KAZA Univisa (Zambia, Zimbabwe). The Schengen visa covers 27 European countries with a single application.
