Best Asia Pacific eVisas & ETAs 2026

Asia Pacific covers some of the world's most exciting travel destinations โ€” from Australia's vast open landscapes and New Zealand's epic scenery to Japan's ancient temples, Fiji's island paradise, and Bhutan's high-altitude kingdom. Entry requirements vary dramatically: Australia has a free eVisitor, Japan is visa-free for many, South Korea uses a K-ETA, and New Zealand requires an NZeTA. This guide cuts through the complexity.

Our methodology for this guide

Our destination rankings are based on a combination of factors: government approval rate data (where publicly available), community feedback from travellers who have used the service, application process complexity, government fee fairness, processing time reliability, and the quality of support available. We update these assessments quarterly and whenever a destination makes significant changes to its visa programme.
